His training encompassed both adult and pediatric patients.
After completing his training in San Antonio, Dr. B returned to Philadelphia for 4 years. There he was an Assistant Professor and staff Surgeon at Temple University Hospital in the Division of Plastic Surgery and the Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the Shriner’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia.
Currently – he is on staff at many of the hospitals here in San Antonio (Christus Santa Rosa, Cumberland Surgical Hospital, and the Audie L Murphy Veteran’s Hospital). He has served in physican leadership positions and remains part of the teaching faculty at UTHSCSA for the Plastic Surgery fellowship program. In addition to his private practice, Dr B is a staff Plastic Surgeon at the Audie Murphy Veteran’s Hospital. Dr. B is actively involved in his professional societies including the American Society of Plastic Surgeon (ASPS), American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS), Texas Society of Plastic Surgeons (TSPS), and the Bexar County Medical Society. Dr. B has lectured widely to other physicians and surgeons on topics of plastic and hand surgery including: sternal reconstruction, complex hernia repair, post bariatric body contouring, head and neck reconstruction, hand trauma, and upper / lower extremity reconstruction. He has published a number of articles on both adult and pediatric plastic surgical issues and his work has been presented at regional, national, and international meetings. He was awarded 1st place paper by the Texas Society of Plastic Surgeons at their annual meeting and is honored to continue to teach other surgeons and trainees.
