How does QWO Cellulite Reduction Work?
The action mechanism of QWO cellulite reduction injections is known as ESR (Enzymatic Subcision and Remodeling). QWO prescription formulation contains two enzymes that cause degradation of the peptide bonds in collagen molecules, which are responsible for cellulite formation. When our trained QWO treatment provider injects the small QWO needle precisely into the targeted area below the cellulite dimple, it triggers the ESR process.
The ESR chemical process disrupts the collagen-loaded fibrous septae sub-dermally, which leads to the release of cellulite from the dimpled skin. With this release, the skin depressions are gone and the uneven skin surface is smoothed out. Beyond ESR, the QWO injections work at another level through the process of neocollagenesis. This stimulates the production of fresh collagen fibers to enrich, volumize and firm up the skin over time.
QWO In-Office Treatment Process
During your consultation with Dr. Baumholtz, we will create a custom treatment plan based on your cellulite condition and your personal aesthetic goals. At the time of treatment, a small needle will be used to inject the QWO prescription medication into the affected sites in your buttocks, and possibly back of the thighs.
We usually recommend a series of three QWO treatment sessions to ensure optimal results. While you may notice some improvement in your skin appearance after one or two treatments, the best outcomes will be seen over the course of 10 to 12 weeks. During each appointment, we can work on up to two treatment sites. Injections will be administered 21 days apart.
Most patients will receive one vial (12 shots) in a single treatment session. The injection process is usually completed in about 10 minutes. You will not experience any significant discomfort during or after the treatment. Many patients report that the QWO needle feels similar to the pinch experienced when Botox is applied.
Efficacy of QWO to Reduce Cellulite
According to researchers, when the fatty tissue has no collagen bands remaining after QWO injections, there is nothing left that will cause cellulite or dimpling. In that sense, QWO is a permanent solution to get rid of cellulite in the buttocks for women.
Clinical trials have shown an improvement in cellulite of up to two levels on the Photo-numeric Scale of Cellulite Severity. In simple words, the trials showed drastic improvement in moderate to severe cellulite condition, but not 100% erasure of cellulite. No serious side effects or complications were reported during the clinical trials.
